SCIENCE PROCESS SKIL (KEMAHIRAN PROSES SAINS)
OBSERVATION (pemerhatian)
- what can you see, hear, taste, smell and feel during the experiment
- do not include reason
REASON (sebab / alasan)
- Inference / explanation from the observation / early conclusion
- Step
i) state the observation
ii) search the reason / cause / factors
iii) Formula = ……………………. because ………………………

VARIABLE (pembolehubah)
i) What is chance: Manipulated Variable (MV/TC)
- during the experiment, what are changed / different?
ii) What is measured / observed : Responding Variable (RV / TO)
- result / record
iii) What is kept the same: Constant Variable (CV / KTS)(sama/ tak berubah)
- during the experiment, what are same?
Constant and manipulated variables must be stated clearly (parameter + object)

The height of ……… The way of ……………………. The weight of ………………
The quantity of … The width of …………………… The type of …………………

Steps:
i) determine the MV
ii) determine the RV
iii) create hypothesis by relating MV with RV
Examples:
- as the pattern of MV increases, so the pattern of RV will increases
- if the pattern of MV decreases, so the pattern of RV will increases
- more / less what is changed (MV), more / less what is observed (RV)
- state the relationship between the area of surface and the length of paper
PATTERN / TREND (pola / corak perubahan)
i) 1,2,3,4,5 = increase
ii) 5,4,3,2,1 = decrease
iii) 3333333 = constant / same
increase/decrease/increase and decrease/decrease and increase/constant/increase, constant and decrease
OBJECTIVE / AIM / PURPOSE (tujuan / objektif / matlamat)
i) To investigate the relationship between MV (what is changed) with (what to measured)
ii) To measure / to study / to find out
PREDICTION (ramalan)
i) predict what will happen ……………………………..
ii) guess what will happen after / during the experiment
iii) count the answer from the data
CONCLUSION (kesimpulan / rumusan)
i) science fact or principle
ii) result of an experiment
iii) do like hypothesis if the patterns are same
iv) read the tables
Example: 350C is most suitable temperature for seedling growth.
